"To ensure Syria's safety, it's crucial to eliminate Russian presence," said Zelensky during a strategic meeting.

On December 23, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's staff, during which the situation in Syria was discussed. The president shared this information via Telegram.
"Удаление российского присутствия критично для безопасности Сирии", - заявил Зеленский на заседании ставки.

"Held a meeting of the council. We thoroughly discussed our approach to Syria following the fall of [Bashar] Assad's regime and his escape [to Russia]. Reports were presented today by intelligence agencies – the Foreign Intelligence Service and the Main Intelligence Directorate, along with the defense and foreign ministers of Ukraine. We are determining our strategy and specific actions," – wrote Zelensky.

He emphasized that "Ukraine is interested in stabilizing the situation in Syria and the region as a whole and will support the necessary efforts of our partners."

"We believe it is crucial for the safety of the Syrian people and the entire region to eliminate any Russian presence in Syria," – stated the President of Ukraine.

Zelensky expressed gratitude to the countries and leaders "who are currently ready to assist the Syrian society in restoring normal life and building effective state institutions."

"We will definitely support the Syrian people in ensuring food security. All necessary decisions on our part have been made, and Ukraine is prepared to supply food. We are ready to collaborate with representatives of the Syrian people to rectify the mistakes of the Assad regime, particularly concerning Ukraine and all of Europe," – he noted.
