Yermak and the new Chinese ambassador discussed the potential for high-level dialogue between Ukraine and China.

On December 25, Andriy Yermak, the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, announced via Telegram that he held a meeting with Ma Shengkui, the newly appointed Chinese ambassador to Kyiv. This meeting followed the ambassador's presentation of his credentials to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky the day before.

"During the meeting, we discussed the prospects for bilateral cooperation between China and Ukraine. I emphasized that China's role is crucial in achieving a just and lasting peace for Ukraine," wrote Ermak.

Furthermore, according to him, the meeting addressed the possibility of high-level bilateral dialogue between the countries.

Zelensky received the credentials from Ma Shengkong on December 24, the press center of the Office of the President reported.

During the meeting with the new Chinese ambassador, Zelensky stressed the importance of developing bilateral relations, particularly in trade.

The head of state also spoke about North Korea's involvement in the war against Ukraine and noted that Kyiv "relies on a strong voice from China," the Office of the President highlighted.
