The GUR detained the former commander of the 155th Brigade, from which many soldiers had been leaving service en masse.

The State Bureau of Investigations, in collaboration with the Security Service of Ukraine, has apprehended the former commander of the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Anna of Kyiv. This individual oversaw a significant increase in instances of unauthorized abandonment of the unit. This information was reported by the press service of the State Bureau of Investigations on January 20.
ГБР задержало экс-командира 155-й ОМБр, откуда массово уходили военнослужащие.

It has been noted that the commander failed to respond to violations within his unit, particularly regarding the unauthorized departure of his soldiers from the military base.

According to the investigation, he also deliberately neglected to carry out other actions required by his official duties. Specifically, throughout 2024, he did not report any incidents involving subordinate military personnel who committed criminal offenses to the pre-trial investigation authorities, as stated in the report.

The State Bureau of Investigations (GBR) claims that the colonel had information about criminal activities within his brigade over the past year. The command staff of the military unit not only verbally informed him about this but also submitted reports and documents detailing the criminal offenses committed by subordinate personnel.

While the GBR does not disclose names, it is known that Colonel Dmitry Ryumshin commanded the 155th Separate Motorized Brigade.
