The journalist asked Koštunica, as a "seasoned negotiator," to assess the "main challenges that will arise in ensuring unity on key issues among all member states" of the EU.
"Currently, we are faced with so many challenges that it is very difficult to determine which one is the most pressing. Among these challenges are Ukraine, our competitiveness, security, defense, migration, democracy… There are many," the President of the European Council replied.
He believes that "the most important thing in the European Union is the collective desire to stay together, to work together, and to achieve results together."
"When looking at the 27 member states, we see 27 different stories, 27 different cultures, people who have 27 perspectives on events in the world, including geographical nuances. [...] We reach collective decisions. We make these decisions despite our diversity," emphasized Koštunica.
