A diplomat explained that air defense systems are essential for Ukraine to protect its infrastructure from attacks by the aggressor country, Russia.
"We have already informed our partners about our urgent needs and are grateful for their swift response. We are requesting the urgent provision of at least 20 additional systems – Hawk, NASAMS, IRIS-T – which will help us avoid a blackout. We understand that Russia aims to deprive us of the ability to generate electricity. Therefore, we need greater support and solidarity," said Sibiga.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reported that the minister will participate in events scheduled for December 3–4 at NATO headquarters in Brussels.
