The Slovak parliament failed to gather a quorum to discuss Fico's resignation.

On January 29, the Parliament (National Council) of Slovakia failed to gather a quorum for a session regarding the vote of no confidence in Prime Minister Robert Fico. This was reported by Noviny.
Словацкий парламент не смог собрать кворум для обсуждения отставки Фицо.

According to an online publication, only 56 out of 150 deputies attended the session. Aktuality claims that the number was 58. This marks the third attempt by the deputies to discuss the opposition's initiative in the last two days.

The parliament will try to address the vote of no confidence in the cabinet at the next scheduled meeting, which is set to begin on February 4.

Members of the "Freedom and Solidarity" party, the Progressive party, and the Christian Democratic Movement propose to dismiss the government led by Fico. They have accused the cabinet of "shifting Slovakia's foreign policy orientation to the east," as reported by Noviny.

The publication notes that on January 21, the opposition already submitted a vote of no confidence against the government, which was the focus of an extraordinary session of the National Council. At that time, Fico demanded that it be held in a closed format and presented a report from the Slovak Information Service to the deputies, which included data on the purported possible "destabilization" in the country.

The opposition criticized the lack of transparency in the meeting, withdrew from the debates, and retracted the initial proposal, later failing to put it to a vote, as stated in the article.
