Tusk proposed a three-point plan for Ukraine and Europe, urging immediate action.

On February 20, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk proposed a three-point plan aimed at supporting Ukraine and enhancing Europe's security.

"Enough talking, it's time to act!" – wrote Tusk, addressing European countries.

In particular, the Prime Minister of Poland suggested:

  • funding European assistance to Ukraine from frozen Russian assets;
  • enhancing air patrols, "Baltic Watch" (a NATO operation to protect the underwater critical infrastructure of the Baltic Sea) and securing the EU border with the aggressor country, Russia;
  • swiftly adopting new fiscal rules for financing the security and defense of the EU.

Earlier, on February 19, the five-point support plan for Ukraine was proposed to Europe by the President of Lithuania, Gitanas Nausėda.
