According to the report, the document was signed during the Berlin Conference.
Koval emphasized that the signed memorandum will serve as the first step in implementing the strategic agreement between Ukraine and the United Kingdom, laying the groundwork for cooperation over the next 100 years.
"The pilot implementation of this initiative will take place in Lithuania – at the Port of Klaipeda, which will become a key hub for verifying the origin of Ukrainian agricultural products," the minister highlighted.
He noted that the GVS system will allow for the identification of stolen grain and the prevention of its illegal transportation.
Furthermore, the agreement includes the use of an innovative database from the United Kingdom. In particular, advanced technologies for determining the place of cultivation will help protect the interests of Ukrainian farmers and ensure market transparency.
Koval mentioned that this collaboration between the countries establishes new standards of safety and fairness in the agricultural sector, which will have an impact on global food security.
