Umerov was summoned to the Parliament due to scandals surrounding defense procurement, particularly involving defective mines.

Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov has been summoned to a session of the Verkhovna Rada. This decision was made by the parliament on December 3, as reported by lawmakers Oleksiy Honcharenko ("European Solidarity") and Yaroslav Zheleznyak ("Voice").
Умерова пригласили в Раду из-за скандалов, связанных с оборонными закупками, включая поставку бракованных мин.

As explained by Zheleznyak, Umerov is required to report to the Rada regarding the scandals related to defense procurement (specifically concerning mines). A total of 153 MPs voted in favor of the corresponding decision (with 150 votes needed).

Honcharenko, who put this issue to a vote, wrote that there are "a lot of questions" for the minister. Among them, he mentioned the delegation by the Cabinet of Ministers to the State Border Guard Service of the authority to procure ammunition for the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounting to 23 million UAH.
