The President's Office and the Rada announced a new bill introducing changes to the military medical commission process.

A bill proposing changes to the military medical commission (MMC) process for individuals with limited fitness will soon be registered in the Defense Committee of the Verkhovna Rada. This was announced on January 28 via Telegram by Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
В Офисе президента и Верховной Раде объявили о новом законопроекте, касающемся изменений в процедуре прохождения военно-врачебной комиссии.

According to her, there are two important matters at hand.

Firstly, the period for mandatory passage of the military medical commission (VVK) will be extended by another four months, meaning the deadline will be moved to early June 2025.

Secondly, the obligation to undergo the VVK does not apply to those with limited fitness who are under 25 years old.

People's Deputy Alexey Goncharenko ("European Solidarity") stated that, according to the bill registered by the committee on national security and defense, the deadline for limited fitness individuals to undergo the VVK is extended to June 5.

"What is happening now is complete chaos and mockery of the people! This bill needs to be urgently brought for consideration and voted on. And then sent for signature. By the way, there was a time when [President of Ukraine Volodymyr] Zelensky could sign everything in one day. So maybe we should return to the practice for truly important bills?" – he wrote.
