In Russia, opposition figure Yashin has been placed on the wanted list after being handed over to the West as part of a prisoner exchange.

On December 25th, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the aggressor country, Russia, announced a search for Russian opposition figure Ilya Yashin, who was handed over to the West by Russian authorities during a prisoner exchange. This was reported by "Mediazona."
В России объявили в розыск оппозиционера Яшина, который был передан Западу в рамках обмена.

The missing person's card published by the publication states that Yashin is "wanted under the Criminal Code," but it does not specify which article of the Criminal Code is involved.

"Mediazona" points out that there has been no official announcement regarding the initiation of a new criminal case against the opposition figure.

Yashin himself told reporters that he "knows nothing about this."

"Apparently, they quietly opened a criminal case to arrest me immediately at the airport if I decide to return to Russia. I’m not surprised, of course. This was to be expected," he said.

In September, Yashin mentioned in a media interview that he was being followed in Berlin, where he is currently located, as reported by "Deutsche Welle". At that time, the opposition figure stated that he had declined offers for housing and security to avoid living off German taxpayers. "I know that Russian agents and contract killers can be anywhere," Yashin declared.
