Fugitive MP Odarchenko appeared at the court hearing via video link and admitted to offering a bribe to Naiem.

The wanted member of parliament, Andrey Odarchenko from the "Servant of the People" party, appeared via video link at a session of the High Anti-Corruption Court on October 16 for questioning. He admitted to having offered a bribe to the former head of the State Agency for Restoration and Development of Infrastructure, Mustafa Nayem. The session was broadcasted on the VAKS YouTube page.

During his speech, the deputy complained that Naiem had provoked him into taking a bribe.

"Naiem created all the conditions that are present in the materials of covert investigative actions [CIA], forcing me to offer him this benefit," said Odarchenko.

In response to a direct question from prosecutor Elena Drobotova about whether he had offered an illegal benefit, the deputy admitted: "I did offer it."

When asked about the amount of the illegal benefit that Naiem allegedly mentioned, Odarchenko replied: "I don’t remember."

The fugitive former MP refused to disclose his current location.

Odarchenko stated that he was compelled to leave the territory of Ukraine supposedly "due to threats to his health."
