"Recently, we have been witnessing a surge of attacks—informational and procedural—targeting individuals who are not aligned with the ruling team. The assaults on generals and brigade commanders, on Zaluzhny and Klitschko, among others, indicate that the authorities subconsciously sense the inevitability of a political end or aim to clear the political landscape ahead of the elections. The latest ratings show that the number of people who do not trust Zelensky has significantly increased. The trust/distrust balance stands at just 0.2% today. Therefore, we are currently seeing such attacks aimed at those whom the authorities consider competitors in the elections," stated Bereza.
The politician noted that over the three years of full-scale war, the president has not met with the mayor of Kyiv even once. Moreover, the authorities have begun to apply pressure mechanisms on Klitschko, particularly through personnel changes. As an example, he mentioned the replacement of the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration—civilian Timur Tkachенко has been appointed instead of General Serhiy Popko, who lacks military experience but "carries out what the authorities tell him."
Additionally, according to Bereza, law enforcement is being used against Klitschko, who, "instead of dealing with relevant issues or defense matters, are forced to humiliate themselves and run around the offices of the KMVA," because "they have been given orders."
Bereza emphasized that instead of consolidating forces to fight the enemy, the authorities have focused on eliminating opponents in the political struggle.
