The publication notes that protests demanding the resignation of Fico took place in nearly 30 cities across Slovakia, including the capital, Bratislava.

According to the organizers' estimates, around 100,000 people participated in the demonstrations titled "Slovakia is Europe."

Officials had warned of potential provocations and violence at these events, but preliminary reports indicate that everything proceeded peacefully.

The largest number of protesters—approximately 60,000—took to the streets of Bratislava. Aktuality.sk considers this one of the largest protests in Slovakia's modern history.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reacted to the protests against Fico on social media platform X.

"Bratislava is not Moscow. Slovakia is Europe," he wrote.

Photos from Bratislava were published by the EPA. Protesters held signs with insults directed at Fico.
