In Indonesia, on the tourist island of Bali, a group of Russians robbed a citizen of Ukraine, seizing a substantial amount of cryptocurrency. This was reported by the Indonesian publication Jakarta Globe.

According to the police press service, the incident occurred on December 15 in the South Kuta district of the Badung region. A Ukrainian named Igor Ermakov and his driver were traveling in a BMW when they fell into an ambush. Their vehicle was blocked from the front and rear by two other cars.

Four men, dressed in black and wearing masks, were armed with knives, hammers, and guns. They forcibly pulled the Ukrainian and his driver out of the vehicle, blindfolded them, and handcuffed them.

Subsequently, the victims were taken to a villa in South Kuta, where the abductors forced the Ukrainian to transfer his cryptocurrency assets to the accounts specified by the kidnappers.

"They beat the victim and compelled him to access his Binance account, allowing them to confiscate cryptocurrency assets worth $214,429, or approximately 3.5 billion rupiah," said police spokesperson Chief Commissioner Ariasandi.

According to the police, the injured Ukrainian sustained wounds to his right ear and both wrists, with bruises on his hands and head.

Ariasandi assured that the police consider this case a priority and are urgently working to identify and arrest the suspects.

Other Incidents Involving Ukrainians Abroad

As reported by UNIAN, in Germany, a court sentenced a citizen of Moldova to life imprisonment for the abduction and murder of a 9-year-old Ukrainian girl who had fled the war with her mother earlier in the summer.

We also reported that Slovakia announced the deportation of a citizen of Ukraine due to his involvement in a rebellion aimed at overthrowing the Slovak government. This announcement came amid widespread anti-government protests, which the Robert Fico government sees as an attempt by external forces to undermine its authority.
