Longer than watching the Star Wars trilogy. White House stenographers can't keep up with Trump's statements – AP.

After Donald Trump took office as President of the United States, White House stenographers struggled to keep up with the leader's statements due to his extensive speaking. This information comes from the Associated Press (AP), citing sources.
Стенографисты Белого дома не успевают фиксировать заявления Трампа, это занимает больше времени, чем просмотр трилогии "Звездных войн" – АР.

Media outlets note that discussions are currently underway regarding the hiring of additional staff responsible for transcribing his public speeches to manage the workload.

According to Factba.se, as reported by journalists, during his first week in office, Trump’s predecessor Joe Biden spoke for two hours and 36 minutes in public engagements, using 24,259 words. In contrast, Trump spoke publicly for nearly seven hours and 44 minutes, utilizing 81,235 words in that same week, with over 22,000 of those words spoken on Inauguration Day alone.

AP reports that this duration exceeds the time it takes to watch the original "Star Wars" trilogy film by film, and the word count surpasses that of Shakespeare's plays "Macbeth," "Hamlet," and "Richard III" combined.

This is also significantly more than when Trump took office for his first term eight years ago. At that time, he spoke on camera for just three hours and 41 minutes, delivering 33,571 words, the media adds.

The authors of the article believe that the flow of words is one of the most noticeable changes from Biden to Trump, who "wants to be in the spotlight and understands better than most politicians that attention is a form of power."

For instance, on January 29, as the agency notes, during a signing ceremony for a law aimed at expediting deportations, Trump boasted about his accomplishments, claimed that HAMAS was using U.S.-funded condoms to make bombs in Gaza, defended his administration's efforts to freeze federal spending and reduce the government workforce, sidestepped discussions of violence by migrants, and made an unexpected statement that Guantanamo Bay in Cuba would be used as a detention center for people illegally in the U.S..
