"No scenario is being considered where we transfer weapons that we recently purchased for billions of zlotys from the pockets of Polish taxpayers to anyone. This weaponry is intended to ensure the security and defense of the Republic of Poland," said Duda when asked if the provision of South Korean weapons to Ukraine was being considered, provided that Western allies would help "fill the gaps" that would arise as a result.
Duda added that "this was a question from our Ukrainian partners."
"My answer was clear: as long as I am president, we cannot transfer to anyone the weapons that we have acquired in recent years to strengthen the security of the Republic of Poland. I reiterate that these are billions of dollars from our shared pockets, because they are the pockets of taxpayers," he continued.
