"At a certain summit, the hypothetical [Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor] Orban might say: 'And I, Baba Yaga, am against.' [...] There is no time left to persuade Orban. Moreover, he knows that in two months, [President-elect Donald] Trump will be in office, who might support him. Thus, the question has again moved into the realm of theory," noted the diplomat.
According to Ogryzko, if the Democratic candidate Kamala Harris had won the presidential election in the U.S., "such a scenario could have been possible."
"Right now, in my opinion, his chances are practically zero. However, it's also possible that Orban could come out to 'have coffee' at the moment decisions are being made. That scenario isn't ruled out either. The question here [...] is about political will and determination. [...] If there is no will, then we return to the idea of political impotence," concluded the former head of Ukraine's Foreign Ministry.
