"We will provide all necessary support to ensure that the new period opens doors to a lasting peace, tranquility, stability, and economic prosperity in Syria. I believe that as stability becomes entrenched in Syria, the voluntary return of Syrian refugees, who have longed for their homeland for 13 years, will become easier," said Erdogan.
The President of Turkey also noted that Ankara is making "intensive efforts to put an end to the ongoing mass killings in the Gaza Strip and other Palestinian territories for the past 15 months, as well as to establish peace here."
"In 2025, we will make every effort to create a free, sovereign, and territorially intact Palestinian state based on the borders of 1967 with its capital in East Jerusalem," Erdogan stated.
The cessation of the "conflict" between Russia and Ukraine was highlighted as one of the "priority directions," and he reminded that both Ukraine and Russia are neighbors of Turkey across the Black Sea.
"We express our desire for a new period to begin in our north in 2025," Erdogan emphasized.
