It has been noted that a geodetic report has already been developed for the selection of a site for the construction of these facilities, and geological studies have also been conducted.
As stated by the PAES, these pre-design works are a prerequisite for preparing the feasibility study. This will serve as the foundation for the working documentation, which will take into account all the steps involved in the large-scale construction at the nuclear power plant.
"Next year, we plan to commission several large-scale projects [...], specifically MRT2 – the Tashlyk No. 2 booster pump station. We also plan to commission several phases of the reconstruction of the splash pools with the pump station next year," said Andrey Pistun, Deputy General Director of PAES for capital construction.
There are three power units in operation at PAES with a total capacity of 3000 MW.
