The French Foreign Minister urged the European Commission to implement strict measures against Musk.

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot has urged the European Commission to take decisive action against American billionaire Elon Musk, who has been accused of interfering in European politics. He made this statement during a broadcast on France Inter on January 8, with quotes in English provided by Reuters and AFP.
Глава МИД Франции призвал Европейскую комиссию принять строгие меры против Маска.

The Foreign Minister believes that "either the European Commission is applying the laws with the utmost strictness, or it should consider restoring the ability to do so to the member states of the European Union, including France."

Barro stated that the European Commission "needs to wake up."

When asked whether the social network X, owned by Musk, could be banned in Europe, Barro responded that such a mechanism for shutting down platforms is outlined in the laws.

On January 6, French President Emmanuel Macron, during a speech to French ambassadors, accused "the owner of one of the largest social networks in the world of interfering in European politics, particularly the elections in Germany," as reported by Rolitico. He did not mention Musk by name, but, as noted by the media, his remarks were quite explicit.
