Zelensky reported that he held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Headquarters, during which there was a separate briefing from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, regarding the front lines.
"The Donetsk directions are the toughest, as well as Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and the Kharkiv region. There are details concerning the Kursk region [of the Russian Federation] – battles involving North Korean military personnel. They have many losses. Very much," the president noted. "And we see that the Russian military and North Korean overseers are not at all concerned about the survival of these Koreans. Everything is being done in such a way that it is impossible for us to capture the Koreans alive – they are being finished off; there are such facts. And in assaults, the Russians send them in a manner that provides them with minimal protection."
Zelensky mentioned that there were reports of several North Korean soldiers being captured, but they could not be revived due to their severe injuries.
"This is one of the manifestations of madness that dictatorships are capable of. The Korean people should not lose their individuals in battles in Europe. And this can be influenced, in particular, by Korea's neighbors, including China. If China is sincere in its statements that the war should not expand, it must exert appropriate influence on Pyongyang," the head of the Ukrainian state pointed out.
