The number of clients using the mobile application of the international financial service "NovaPay" (TM NovaPay) has reached half a million since its launch on December 13, 2023, reported the press service on Friday.
"As of the end of December, we have over 471,000 individual clients and more than 30,000 individual entrepreneurs (IEs)," quoted the press service of NovaPay's Director of Innovations, Alexey Ruban.
It is noted that since the launch, the application has been downloaded by approximately 1,300 users daily.
Among the most popular services are traditional payments and transfers, as well as loans for parcels.
According to data from the National Bank of Ukraine, the number of active payment cards issued by NovaPay increased to 212,190 in the third quarter of 2024, up from 151,850 in the middle of the year and 82,480 at the end of the first quarter. This allowed the service to surpass Credit Agricole Bank, TAScombank, and Ukreximbank, becoming the 12th player in the market with a share of 0.4%.
However, in October, this number decreased to 158,690, which corresponds to the 15th position in the market, while the total number of issued cards as of November 1 of this year reached 389,530, ranking 17th in the market.
In addition, as of early November this year, the company had 13 self-service kiosks (software and technical complex) and 10,440 payment terminals, whereas at the beginning of the year, there were no self-service kiosks in the NovaPay network, and the number of payment terminals was 3,430. By the number of terminals, the company is already fifth in the market with a share of 2%.
It was previously reported that the NovaPay service increased its transaction volume by 16% in January-September compared to the same period in 2023, reaching 292 million UAH.
Founded in 2001, NovaPay is an international financial service that is part of the Nova group, providing online and offline financial services at "Nova Poshta" branches. According to the company's website, it employs approximately 13,000 staff across more than 3,500 "Nova Poshta" branches throughout Ukraine. According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the company accounts for about 35% of the total volume of domestic money transfers.
NovaPay was the first in Ukraine among non-bank financial institutions to receive an extended license from the NBU in 2023, allowing it to open accounts and issue cards, and it was also the first among non-banks to launch its own financial application with a wide range of financial services at the end of 2023.
