"A long time ago, as a pediatrician, I realized that I lack communication with fathers. I have always believed that one of the most pressing issues in Ukraine and many post-Soviet countries is that parents (specifically fathers) pay very little attention to their children in general. There are few men around children," he believes.
The pediatrician shared that he visited Baku, where he managed to gather a "hall of men," something he struggles to achieve in Ukraine.
"I have formulated my recipe for a happy, normal state, which consists of three points: men with children, grandmothers with grandfathers, and women in politics. This is the ideal scenario, and it would bring happiness to us all," said Komarovsky.
He noted that if he were speaking to fathers instead of mothers, he would communicate with them "completely differently."
"I would explain to them what is good and what is bad, how men willingly leave the upbringing of children to women, who then end up doing things I won't mention. No, ladies, I love you very much, but when you tell men: 'Go, I've got this,' and he is just waiting to leave and let her make all the crucial decisions regarding the child, that frightens me," emphasized the pediatrician.
According to him, the likelihood of parents divorcing before their first child reaches a year old is "exactly 50%, that's the statistic."
"I know why. Because men, bastards, leave women alone with the child, forcing her to make all the decisions. And when a woman is stressed and sleep-deprived, there is no family," said Komarovsky.
In his opinion, "after the birth of a child, the most unhappy, vulnerable, painful, and needy being is the mother."
The pediatrician noted that in such a state (including low libido), a woman does not respond to a man as he would like, and he moves on to another family, thinking it will be different there.
