The Security Committee of the Rada endorsed the dismissal of a specific category of military personnel.

The Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence has endorsed bill No. 11531, which proposes amendments to the law "On Military Duty and Military Service." This bill grants the right to dismissal in the event of the death or disappearance of a half-sibling at the front. The author of the bill, MP Oleksiy Honcharenko from the "European Solidarity" party, shared this information on Telegram on November 13.
Комитет Рады по безопасности одобрил увольнение для одной из групп военнослужащих.

The law defines half-siblings as individuals who share one biological parent. Honcharenko reminded that in August, the Rada had already made a decision that allows certain categories of conscripts to receive a deferment from service, and this is already in effect.

"Now I am fighting for justice, so that there is an opportunity for exemption from military service for those whose half-siblings have died or gone missing during the resistance against Russian aggression," the MP wrote, urging colleagues to support the bill during the vote.
