Ukrainian Foreign Ministry: We have no intention of developing nuclear weapons.

Ukraine remains committed to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons. This statement was made by the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Georgiy Tikhiy, on social media platform X on November 13.

"We do not possess, develop, or intend to create nuclear weapons. Ukraine closely collaborates with the IAEA and is fully transparent for its monitoring, which rules out the use of nuclear materials for military purposes," he stated.

This is how Tykhyi commented on an article from The Times suggesting that Ukraine could create a nuclear bomb if military support from the U.S. were to diminish. The publication referenced a document prepared by analysts for the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.
