The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry calls for a fair investigation into the plane crash in Kazakhstan, emphasizing that we must not allow Russia to spread falsehoods.

Ukraine is calling for a fair investigation into the crash of the Embraer aircraft operated by Azerbaijan Airlines in Kazakhstan, which was en route from Baku to Grozny. This statement was made on December 27 by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga, as reported by the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Telegram.
МИД Украины: Мы требуем справедливого расследования авиакатастрофы в Казахстане и не позволим России искажать факты.

"The crash of the Azerbaijan Airlines plane is horrific. We extend our condolences to Azerbaijan. It is telling that Russian media immediately began to lie about the causes of the disaster, as well as the fact that Russia forced the damaged aircraft to fly over the sea," noted Sibiga.

According to him, "this was likely an attempt to cover up the evidence, to destroy proof of their crime."

"The more photos and videos emerge from inside the plane and after its crash, the more they indicate damage from the Russian anti-aircraft system," emphasized Sibiga. "We call for a fair and impartial investigation [of the plane crash in Kazakhstan] to ensure that those responsible are held accountable. We must not allow Russia to lie, evade responsibility, or shift the blame."

According to Ukrainian military intelligence, flight 8432 was shot down by the Russian air defense system "Pantsir-S1" on Russian territory.
