The world can no longer tolerate Russia's misinformation regarding its war against Ukraine, stated the U.S. at the UN Security Council.

The aggressor country, Russia, is intensifying its propaganda regarding the war against Ukraine. This statement was made on November 27 during a UN Security Council meeting by Robert Wood, the Deputy U.S. Ambassador, as reported by the UN website.
Мир не может больше терпеть российскую дезинформацию о войне против Украины, заявили США в Совете Безопасности ООН.

"Currently, as Russia escalates and deepens the conflict, the Kremlin seeks to perpetuate the war and continue spreading its propaganda, all while ignoring the fundamental distinction between Russia's aggression and Ukraine's defense. Ukraine has the right to defend itself against an attack (according to Article 51 of the UN Charter), whereas Russia had no right to infringe upon the sovereignty and territorial integrity of another UN member state," he stated.

The American diplomat emphasized that Russia "equates Ukraine's struggle for survival with its own expansionism."

"Let’s not be mistaken. Russia continues to inundate the Security Council with disinformation that the world can no longer digest. We can no longer turn a blind eye to Russia's violations of international law; we must support Ukraine – a UN member state defending itself against Russian aggression," Wood declared.

He promised that the United States would continue to provide military assistance to Ukraine, "to ensure it has the best capabilities on the battlefield."

"Our future is at stake. The war poses a threat to NATO allies, European security, and the fundamental principles of the UN Charter. We again call on Russia to end the war and withdraw its troops from Ukrainian territory to internationally recognized borders," Wood urged.
