Mobilization will cease, and soldiers will return home: Focus has uncovered what's wrong with the idea of disbanding the Territorial Recruitment Centers.

Experts surveyed by Focus believe that if the TCC and SP are disbanded now, the conscription process in Ukraine will come to a halt. However, this is not the only consequence that may arise if military recruitment offices are dissolved and a new, yet-to-be-defined mobilization mechanism is introduced.

However, according to military expert, retired Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleg Zhdanov, recruitment offices only require reform, not disbandment. If military recruitment offices were to be dissolved today, soldiers at the front line would go home by tomorrow, as there would be no one to staff the army.

He stated that first, an organization needs to be established to replace the Territorial Centers for Recruitment and Social Support (TCRSS), or the existing one should be reformed. The TCRSS should be removed from the structure of the Ground Forces and transferred to the Ministry of Defense, making them civilian organizations. As recruitment centers expand, the military recruitment offices could be reduced or gradually eliminated.

"Today, recruitment centers are enlisting fighters for specific brigades, while others constantly complain about the lack of personnel and who will fight in the trenches," Zhdanov remarked.

He noted that the deputies are businesspeople who do not think two to three steps ahead. In business, problems are addressed as they arise.

"A problem has arisen, society is currently opposed to the TCRSS, so let's disband them. But what about tomorrow? Tomorrow, there will be another problem: who will staff the army? We will solve that later. And who will be responsible for staffing the Armed Forces while you resolve this issue? That's our huge problem. This is about state governance," the expert emphasized.

She believes that mobilization could come to a halt without the TCRSS due to the lack of developed alternative programs and the absence of organizations responsible for supplying mobilization resources.

"Recruitment is absolutely wonderful. In my opinion, the idea is excellent, and it truly works. However, at this moment, it seems impossible to fully staff military units solely through recruitment," she stated.

Recall that on November 12, it was proposed in the Rada to dissolve the TCRSS. According to MP Yulia Yatsyk, recruitment centers should be responsible for enlisting people into the army.

On November 13, Ukrainian politician, public figure, writer, and founder of the "Brotherhood" battalion Dmitry Korchinsky mentioned that despite the shortcomings of TCRSS operations, military recruitment offices are the most effective means of replenishing the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Disbanding them would only worsen the recruitment pace in Ukraine.
