A 15-year-old resident of Poltava, Anna Melashenko, made a series of pro-Russian statements during a TikTok live stream, referring to Ukraine as "bottom."
According to local media and social media pages, during the live broadcast, the girl "started to support" Russia, claiming that there is "a future" there. She reacted sharply to the outrage of commenters.
"Ukraine is, f*cking, bottom, and in Russia, at least there is a future," the girl stated.
She also claimed that she does not interfere with Ukrainians "being patriots and speaking Ukrainian," but she chooses otherwise. According to Anna, she would have moved abroad, but personal circumstances, which she did not specify, allegedly prevent her from doing so.
Within a few hours, the controversial stream "spread" across the internet, and Anna was visited by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the National Police. After a conversation with law enforcement and intelligence representatives, the girl recorded a video with apologies. In the footage, she stated that she "strives to be a patriot like her mother."
"I sincerely apologize to everyone. I did not want to offend or hurt anyone. I will not do this again. This live stream was wrong. I understand that I said bad words, and I will never do such things in my life again," Anna said.
