The Pope has accepted an invitation to visit Ukraine, according to the head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church.

Pope Francis does not currently have plans to visit Ukraine, particularly in 2025. This information was shared by the head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC), Sviatoslav (Shevchuk), during an interview with Radio Free Europe, which was published on YouTube on December 25.
Папа Римский согласился на приглашение посетить Украину, подтвердил предстоятель УГКЦ.

According to him, the invitation to the pontiff has been delivered, and there are assurances that "it has been accepted, but when the visit will take place is still unknown."

"There are currently no plans for a visit in 2025, but Pope Francis sometimes enjoys making surprises. He can announce a visit literally a month before he decides to come to Ukraine. Therefore, we enter this new year with hope. Hope that a just peace will ultimately prevail in Ukraine," said the head of the UGCC.
