Peskov stated that the war in Ukraine is not influenced by global oil prices.

The spokesperson for the illegitimate president of the aggressor nation, Russia, Vladimir Putin, Dmitry Peskov, stated that the "conflict" in Ukraine is not influenced by global oil prices. This information was revealed during a briefing on January 24, where he addressed comments made by the new U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the reduction of worldwide oil prices as a means to end the war in Ukraine, as reported by the propaganda agency "RIA Novosti."
Песков отметил, что конфликт в Украине не связан с глобальными нефтяными ценами.

"This conflict arises from the threat to the national security of the Russian Federation, from the threats to Russians living in certain territories, and from the unwillingness and complete refusal of Americans and Europeans to heed Russia's concerns, and it is not related to oil prices," the agency quotes Peskov.

At the same time, he noted that Russian leader Putin is open to communication with Trump and is awaiting appropriate "signals." According to him, the Kremlin will inform about this in advance.

Additionally, Peskov stated that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky "cannot be ready for settlement because negotiations are necessary for that, and he has prohibited himself from holding them."
