NEC "Ukrenergo" reports a significant increase in electricity consumption, attributed to the drop in temperature and the use of heaters.
"As of today, October 21, at 9:30 AM, consumption was 6.3% higher than the previous working day – Friday, October 18. Yesterday, October 20, the daily peak consumption recorded in the evening was 10.7% higher than the previous Sunday – October 13," the statement from NEC noted on Monday.
"Ukrenergo" highlights that the primary reason for this considerable increase in consumption is the decrease in air temperature across Ukraine and the widespread use of heaters, particularly during the evening hours.
At the same time, NEC is requesting that powerful electrical appliances be used during the effective operation hours of solar power plants – from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, to assist the energy system in recovering after nine massive attacks by the Russians.
According to "Ukrenergo," electricity imports are being conducted at a volume of 6790 MWh (on Friday – 8.3 thousand MWh).
