The President of Serbia suggested erecting a monument to Trump if he successfully ends the war in Ukraine.
Ending the war in Ukraine, initiated by the aggressor country Russia, will be challenging, as both Kyiv and Moscow are unlikely to agree to a forced peace. This viewpoint was expressed by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić in an interview published on January 22 in the Serbian newspaper Blic.

According to Vucic, he is striving for a swift end to the hostilities in Ukraine, but he fears that the "attacking each other" policies of the countries will not bring them closer to peace.
"Russia and Ukraine are not small countries, and both have lost too many people to make a decision lightly, but if [U.S. President Donald] Trump achieves this, he will save the planet, so I wish him success," stated the Serbian president.
He also noted that no one knows what to expect from Trump.
