The pro-Russian presidential candidate in Romania referred to Zelensky as a "half-dictator."

Pro-Russian presidential candidate in Romania, Călin Georgescu, referred to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as a "semi-dictator." He made this statement during a broadcast on Realitatea Plus on January 31, as reported by Digi24.
Пророссийский кандидат на пост президента Румынии охарактеризовал Зеленского как "полудиктатора".

He stated that Zelensky prioritizes his own interests and those of the political elite over the national interests of his country, but did not provide any evidence to support this claim.

Georgescu simultaneously claims to regard the Ukrainian people "with sympathy and respect," while expressing that he has "issues with corruption and the dishonest behavior of politicians, including those in Kyiv."

He also mentioned that Zelensky and Romanian President Klaus Iohannis "do not allow free elections." His interpretation of "free elections" contradicts Ukrainian legislation, which explicitly prohibits their conduct during martial law. The results of the first round of the presidential elections in Romania, held in December, were nullified by the Constitutional Court. Georgescu was then accused of using bot farms.

The Romanian politician reiterated several propaganda statements regarding Ukraine, particularly asserting that "Ukraine is a state created by the will of great powers." He referred to this as a "historical fact."

"This statement should not be viewed as an insult but rather as a historical fact that must be taken into account. What the great powers decided, they have the right to decide," the politician added.
