The truck driver involved in the fatal accident, which claimed the life of Ukrainian blogger Anna Zhuk, also known as Annet, narrowly escaped death during the crash. The injured man's wife shared details about his condition following the car accident.
In a comment for the program "Sніданок з 1+1 Україна," Alexander Oleinikov's wife, Olga, revealed that she has yet to recover from the horrific incident that occurred on January 24 on the Kharkiv-Kyiv highway. It turned out that the woman was next to her partner at the time of the accident. She witnessed firsthand how Zhuk's vehicle collided with their truck, after which the blogger's husband, Vladimir Bilevtsov, carried their child out of the car to prevent him from seeing his deceased mother.

The 40-year-old truck driver, originally from Pervomaisk in the Mykolaiv region, is currently in a hospital in Kyiv, where, according to his wife, his condition is stable following the injuries sustained. Medical professionals diagnosed him with a spinal cord injury and a spinal contusion. Family and friends of Zhuk helped transport the man from the Poltava region, where the accident occurred, to the capital and are also covering his medical expenses.
Olga mentioned that the man's rehabilitation might take a lifetime. To assist him in recovering faster, she has initiated a fundraising campaign for his treatment. However, doctors predict that Alexander's condition will improve within three months.

Additionally, a friend of the deceased, blogger Denis Povetkin, also shared that he visited the injured man in the hospital. He reported that during the accident, Oleinikov was on the roadside under the truck, repairing it.
"If he had been lying just a few centimeters to the left or right, there would have been multiple fatalities instead of just one. Thank God he is alive and conscious, and his condition is stable," the blogger noted.
It is worth mentioning that the cause of the accident was that Zhuk's husband attempted to overtake from the right side of the lane and lost control. Their vehicle collided with the truck, resulting in Annet's immediate death from her injuries, while Vladimir and their son were taken to the hospital.
On January 27, the police served Bilevtsov with a notice of suspicion for violating traffic safety regulations. He faces up to three years in prison.
Recall that earlier the court imposed a measure of restraint on Zhuk's husband. Vladimir will not have the option to post bail.
