Russia is teaching North Korea modern warfare, which could lead to greater destabilization, according to Zelensky.

In a statement following November 16, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed his meeting with Japan's Foreign Minister, Yoshimasa Hayashi, in Kyiv. The transcript was released by the president's press service.
Зеленский заявил, что обучение России КНДР современным методам ведения войны может привести к более серьезной дестабилизации ситуации.

"I just met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan: he is visiting Ukraine. It is significant that this is his first visit to another country right after the formation of the new Japanese government – a visit to Ukraine. This is both symbolic regarding our relations between Ukraine and Japan and very practical: the ongoing war in Europe is impacting much for the entire world," said Zelensky.

He expressed gratitude to the Japanese politician for the support provided to Ukraine.

"Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the amount of aid has reached $12 billion. Japan is a true leader in Asia in upholding the international order based on rules and in protecting people's lives," emphasized the President of Ukraine.

According to Zelensky, "we discussed that North Korea has now become an ally of Russia and is assisting Putin in this criminal war."

"I informed him about the activity of North Korean military forces in the Kursk region and all the threats arising from the cooperation between Pyongyang and Moscow. Russia is teaching North Korea modern warfare, which could lead to significantly broader destabilization. We must counteract this together with all our other partners. There is a new package of support from Japan," the President stated.

He mentioned that during the meeting with Takeshi, they also talked about tightening sanctions against Russia, economic cooperation between Ukraine and Japan, and the restoration and pursuit of a just peace.

"We are also preparing for a conversation with the new Prime Minister of Japan," Zelensky emphasized.
