A North Korean soldier will be deployed to assault Ukrainian forces after escaping from Kursk, according to sources from Focus.

Eighteen out of forty military instructors from North Korea have escaped from a training ground in the Kursk region of Russia. The command of the Russian Armed Forces has decided that everyone will be sent to the front lines—both those who fled and those who remained in the barracks.

Sources within Ukrainian intelligence have reported that 18 out of 40 North Korean instructors escaped from a training ground. Initially, they were located at a site in the forest near the village of Kolyachek in the Kurchatov district of the Kursk region. The training ground is situated 9 km from the Ukrainian border and 70 km from the front lines near Rylsk and Suja. The North Koreans were training around 50 Russian soldiers in the use of balloons. In return, the Russians shared their experiences in infantry combat against Ukrainians, which they had acquired during the war. Due to the escape from the training ground, the North Korean citizens will soon have the opportunity to apply their acquired knowledge in practice on the battlefield.

According to sources, all North Koreans will be sent to the Russian-Ukrainian front in the Lgov district of the Kursk region.

It is noteworthy that in mid-October, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense and Western intelligence reported that North Korea sent several thousand military personnel to Russia to join the Russian-Ukrainian war. OSINT analysts have confirmed that several thousand North Koreans are indeed present at training grounds in the Far East of Russia. The Telegraph reported that among them could be nearly 2,000 North Korean special forces, who were being trained for combat against South Korea. However, an analyst from British intelligence stated that they possess mediocre skills, as they were trained in a country that is under sanctions and in isolation.

We remind you that on October 20, the South Korean publication Yonhap News revealed the number of North Korean soldiers who will be sent to fight near Kursk.
