Trump has toned down his rhetoric about ending the war in Ukraine "in a day," according to The Hill.

The newly elected U.S. president, Donald Trump, who had claimed he could bring an end to the war, has toned down his campaign rhetoric. This was reported by The Hill on December 29.
Трамп смягчил свои заявления о завершении войны в Украине "за сутки", сообщает The Hill.

The newspaper analyzed his "grandiose" promises, as defined by the editorial team. It reports that after winning the election, Trump indicated that fulfilling these promises might not be as straightforward as he had announced.

As The Hill reminds us, during a press conference at his Mar-a-Lago estate, he emphasized that resolving the conflict would require the willingness of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and illegitimate Russian President Vladimir Putin to make compromises. However, as noted in the article, Trump did not specify what concessions he expects from both sides.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in his interview with Fox News, expressed the view that it will be "not easy" for Trump to influence Putin and that "he is stronger."

Despite Trump's ambitious statements regarding Ukraine and the economy, the implementation of his promises faces numerous challenges, according to The Hill. Amid claims of difficulties in managing global conflicts and economic policy, critics point out that Trump's campaign rhetoric may differ from actual actions.
