According to him, these three countries and many others "have been robbing the States for decades – both in trade and in crime and toxic drugs, which have been allowed to flow so freely into America."
The president also accused the "tariff lobby," particularly the media outlet The Wall Street Journal, of criticizing his trade and economic policies.
He added that the U.S. is no longer willing to be a "stupid country."
"Make your product in the USA, and there will be no tariffs! Why should the United States lose trillions of dollars subsidizing other countries, and why should these other countries pay a fraction of what American citizens pay for medicines and pharmaceuticals, for example?" – stated Trump.
Trump emphasized that "this will make America great."
"Will it be a bit painful? Yes, possibly (or maybe not). But we will make America great again, and all of this will be worth the price we have to pay. We are a country now being governed with common sense – and the results will be amazing!" – believes Trump.
