In Germany, a man was found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of a nine-year-old Ukrainian named Valeria.

According to Bild, the district court in the city of Chemnitz (Saxony) delivered the verdict against 37-year-old Andrei P. on Friday, January 31. The judges established that the crime was of particular severity, meaning that early release after 15 years of incarceration is nearly impossible.

It is noted that the perpetrator had a relationship with the girl's mother, Nadezhda, who had separated from him just a few days before the murder. Subsequently, he strangled her child and fled the country.

Journalists report that on the second day of the trial, Andrei P. appeared with a bruise on his left eye, which resulted from a "confrontation with three inmates."

Nine days later, the child's body was found in the woods, approximately 2.5 kilometers from home. It was later revealed that a citizen of Moldova was arrested in the Czech Republic, who is suspected of this murder.
