The death toll from the strike by an enemy drone on a high-rise building in Sumy has risen to seven.

Updated 17:38. According to a report from the State Emergency Service in the Sumy region, rescuers have recovered the body of another individual from the rubble of the building. Thus, the number of fatalities has increased to seven.

It is also noted that as of 17:00, 13 people have been injured, including a child. Emergency and rescue operations are ongoing.

According to data from the Sumy regional prosecutor's office, as of 15:30, six people have died as a result of the enemy's attack on the high-rise, specifically three couples: a 74-year-old man and his 69-year-old wife, a 65-year-old man and his 64-year-old wife, and a 61-year-old man and his 61-year-old wife.

The prosecutor's office clarified that the bodies of the third couple were recently retrieved from the debris.

The State Emergency Service added that the bodies of the deceased were recovered on the first floor of the building.

Furthermore, according to rescuers, the number of injured has increased to ten.

Updated 14:11. As of 11:00, it was reported that four people had died. These were two couples. Nine others, including an 8-year-old girl, sustained injuries.

According to information from the Sumy Regional Military Administration, January 30-31 has been declared Days of Mourning for those who perished due to the Russian attack.

As reported by the State Emergency Service of the Sumy region, work continues at the site of the Russian strike to clear damaged elements of the building and dismantle large concrete slabs. Equipment for conducting high-altitude work and rescue climbers from the Emergency Service are on-site.

Attack on Sumy on January 30 - What is known

In the early hours of January 30, an enemy "Shahed" hit a 10-story residential building in Sumy. Four people are known to have died and nine others have been injured, including a child. A total of 118 people have been evacuated from the building.
