As a result of a strike by a Russian drone on a dormitory in the city of Glukhov, Sumy region, a woman and her two sons lost their lives. This was reported by the head of the Glukhov community, Nadezhda Vailo, as stated by Suspilne.
The deceased woman was 43 years old, while her sons were aged 7 and 21. Their father survived.
It is known that the family had evacuated to Glukhov about six months ago from the Esman community.
Also among the deceased were an 83-year-old woman and her 59-year-old son.
It is noted that other families who had evacuated from the border areas of Sumy region also lived in this dormitory.
According to the official, as a result of the strike, 11 people sustained minor injuries.
Details of the Attack on the Dormitory in Glukhov
Late in the evening on November 18, a Russian kamikaze drone of the "Shahed" type hit the dormitory in the city of Glukhov, Sumy region. The building's structure collapsed.
As a result of the strike, 12 people died under the rubble, including one child, and 11 were injured, among them two children.
The strike prompted a response from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
"Every day we call on the world for determination and sufficient strength for Ukraine to block these strikes against our people. Every new attack by Russia only confirms Putin's true intentions. He wants the war to continue. He is not interested in talks about peace. We must force Russia to a just peace through strength," the head of state emphasized.
