On the morning of December 31, an air raid alert was issued across Ukraine due to the threat of enemy missile strikes.

Subsequently, the Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that the enemy launched a missile strike against the infrastructure of the Shostka community, and the consequences of the attack by Russian forces are being clarified.

Additionally, Russian invaders targeted Kyiv and the surrounding area with ballistic missiles.

The Kyiv City Military Administration reported on the operation of air defense in the capital. They also urged residents to stay in shelters until the alert is lifted.

It is noteworthy that this is the second such attack by Russian invaders on the capital since the beginning of the day. At 3:00 AM, the Ukrainian Air Forces alerted about the threat of ballistic missiles coming from the northeast. Soon after, high-speed targets were launched towards the capital. Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported on the operation of air defense in Kyiv.

Updated at 8:15 AM. The Air Forces reported a missile aimed at Shostka in the Sumy region, and media sources are reporting a series of explosions.

Updated at 8:15 AM. The Kyiv City Military Administration informed that preliminary reports indicate debris fell in the Darnytskyi district of the capital as a result of the missile strike on Kyiv. The debris landed on the roof of a private building, and this information is still being verified. It is noted that there are no fires or destruction. No reports of injuries have been received so far.

At the same time, Russia has already standardly claimed that it struck some mythical "headquarters."

"Strikes were carried out this morning on the southeastern outskirts of Kyiv, allegedly targeting one of the headquarters or foreign military," writes the propaganda outlet "RIA-Novosti."

Russian Attacks on Ukraine

In addition to missile threats, air raid alerts have been issued in some regions of Ukraine due to the threat of UAVs. Furthermore, Russian occupiers have deployed a MiG-31K aircraft, prompting alerts across the country.

Recall that on December 25, Russian invaders launched a massive strike against Ukraine using missiles of various classes, as well as strike UAVs.

According to military expert Alexander Kovalenko, the occupiers may carry out a massive missile strike on Ukraine during the New Year's Eve. He believes that the occupiers have already managed to gather a sufficient number of missiles for such an attack.
