Starting next year, Ukraine will join the International Criminal Court.
The Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Iryna Mudra, along with Ukraine's Permanent Representative to the UN, Serhiy Kyslytsia, officially deposited the ratification instrument of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court in New York. Mudra announced this on Facebook on October 25.

"It has been a challenging journey, but we have made it and take pride in this achievement," noted Mudra.
In the President's Office, it was clarified that this means that starting from January 1, 2025, Ukraine will become the 125th state to participate in the ICC.
"This is a significant event for Ukraine. We have completed a lengthy process of ratifying this important instrument and are finally fully joining the work of a key global body of criminal justice," said Mudra.
