Ukraine has received liquefied natural gas from the United States for the first time.

Ukraine has received liquefied natural gas from the United States via Greece for the first time. This was announced by Andriy Yermak, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, in a Telegram post on December 28.
Украина впервые импортировала сжиженный природный газ из США.

"This is not just a cargo – it's a strategic move. Despite Russia's attempts to undermine our energy system during the war, we have achieved yet another victory on the energy front," commented Yermak.

He announced that the energy company DTEK received this gas at the Greek LNG terminal. According to Yermak, the agreement with the American company Venture Global will bring stability to Ukrainians by 2026.

"Ukraine is successfully integrating into the global energy market. I thank our international partners for their support and trust. Together, we are freeing the global energy system from Russian blackmail," added the head of the Office of the President.
