"Victory requires a thorough analysis of experience and an honest understanding of mistakes. This is particularly true for the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine – the largest and strategically important branch responsible for mobilization, training, staffing, and the effectiveness of combat units. Events within the Ground Forces have a direct impact on the situation at the front," stated Umerov.
According to him, this is precisely why he supported the necessity for the new commander of the Ground Forces of Ukraine, Major General Mykhailo Drapaty, to have a complete understanding of the current situation.
The inspection will include:
- analysis of the organizational structure and capabilities;
- evaluation of the effectiveness of management processes;
- verification of compliance with legislation.
Based on the findings of the inspection, the Ministry of Defense promises to implement reforms in the management system and personnel policy within the command of the Ground Forces of Ukraine, optimize management processes, and enhance the combat readiness of units through new training approaches.
