Umerov appointed former Vice Prime Minister Kubrakov as his advisor.

The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, has appointed former Vice Prime Minister and Minister for Community Development, Territories, and Infrastructure, Oleksandr Kubrakov, as his advisor on a voluntary basis. The Minister announced this on Facebook on January 7.
Умеров назначил бывшего вице-премьера Кубракова своим советником.

Umerov believes that the former official's previous experience in the government, as well as his prior leadership of "Ukravtodor," will assist in enhancing the supply and logistics system within the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"I am confident that his state and practical experience will contribute to improving the efficiency of defense processes and strengthening our defense capabilities," the minister wrote.

Kubrakov himself confirmed the appointment on Facebook and stated that he is already preparing proposals for reforming the sector and attracting investments in the military industry in collaboration with the defense subcommittee of the European Parliament, as well as Ukrainian officials, lawmakers, business leaders, and volunteers.

"We plan to present our findings in the first quarter of this year," his post reads.
