A notification regarding the suspension of projects has been received from the international company Chemonics International, which is the largest recipient of USAID funding and implements programs in Ukraine aimed at supporting the agricultural sector, legal system, and education. This was reported by one of the company's office employees in Kyiv.
Ukrainian organizations and local government bodies are being informed about the need to halt processes that were financed with USAID funds or by organizations dependent on American funding.
The Mykolaiv City Council received a phone call from USAID, informing them about the suspension of projects in the city, stated Vitaliy Lukov, the first deputy mayor, to "Suspilne." According to him, this concerns dozens of projects by the city council and public organizations in Mykolaiv – ranging from energy independence to safety initiatives.
