Ukraine will soon begin consultations with the U.S. to expedite the restoration of USAID funding, according to the Office of the President.

Ukraine will soon begin discussions with American partners regarding the continuation of funding for humanitarian response projects in the country. This was announced on January 28th by Iryna Vereshchuk, the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, on Facebook.
Скоро Украина начнет переговоры с США для быстрого восстановления финансирования от USAID, сообщает Офис Президента.

"Regarding the suspension of USAID funding. Yes, this is unexpected and unfortunate news: both for the authorities and the public sector. However, this is not the first nor the last challenge we must face," wrote Vereshchuk.

She noted that she is involved in humanitarian response, and that "a 90-day pause from a key donor cannot help but cause concern."

"But I am confident that we will stabilize everything in the humanitarian sector. We will soon begin substantive consultations with our American partners to expedite the continuation of funding for humanitarian response projects in Ukraine," Vereshchuk stated. "While we stabilize the situation, we need to retain personnel and developments from the project teams."
